HaNitzahon Neighbourhood, with 1,200 apartments, was designed and built in the 1960's.
The building groups create a hierarchical system of shaded courtyards, squares and roofed passageways for protection from the typical climate of the desert plateau.
The ground level holds kindergartens, social clubs, shops and garden apartments, and all internal pedestrian pathways in the neighbourhood are separate from vehicle traffic on surrounding roads.
