The Beer Sheva Regional Government Center, designed by architects Ruth Lahav, Toni Rigg, and Len Warshaw, was the winning entry in the 1995 Azrieli architectural competition.
Built between 1997 and 2003, the complex is located on a 230x80m site in central Beer Sheva, opposite the Regional Courthouse and along the city’s planned main pedestrian mall.
The design features five office buildings connected by a central circulation spine beneath a distinctive wave-like roof, with atriums providing natural light. The project responds to the desert climate with north-south building orientation and climate-sensitive façades. It was constructed in two phases: government offices (Buildings A–D) were completed in 2002, and the private offices and commercial mall (Building E) in 2003.
The project earned the Azrieli Prize for Urban Planning from the Council for a Beautiful Israel in 2005.
